Sample Post: Screams ripped through the nights, causing nightmares to wake her night. Often, she would leave her bed on the floor, and curl in bed with her mother and Sister, crying herself to sleep, unable to be held. Her mother had changed since her father was first take with the arrival of the sickness. Since then, they lived on nothing more then some scraps of bread the baker gave them when they wondered by, and some sour milk. Her sister, was lost next, leaving her alone with just her mother. She was so young…and unable to understand what was happening.
If there was a god, why had he done this to them, when they had gone to church every Sunday…prayed to him for every meal and problem. Did they do something wrong in the practices? One night, she was woken when her mother started to cough, the sound sending shivers down her spine. Ever since that one night, it had only gotten worse. One afternoon, her mother decided to take her for a walk, to visit the grave stone of her sister and father.
The cemetery was a gloomy place, a place etched in her memory with the thick scent of death, rotting flesh, and damp earth. The simple stone held no writing, simple half cute stone thrown on the earth. Her mother had knelt; coughing and shaking as she softly caress the cold stone. She merely watched her mother with a pain in her chest as she place her small white daisy on her sister gave, feeling a cool chill rush through her tiny body. “I love you Amy,” Her mother whispered as they left the dreadful place. Walking down the body littered streets, it was when her mother started to stagger, that my knew something was wrong. She tried to help her mother as the twenty-six year old women fell to the cold stone below her. Amy screamed, franticly trying to help her clasped mother. He mother wheezed and panted, softly stroking her daughter face. Tears streamed down her face as she shook her head, crying for her mother. Slowly, she palm went limp, falling to the earth. Amy screamed, clutching her mother body, shaking, yelling at her to wake up.
It was hours later that she still sat on the side of the road, dirt stained her cheeks, tears still streaming down her face. When her angel came to her rescue, so she referred to as years later. The memory of that day hunted her through the years, fading of emotional intensity as she grew older. Amy was now a young lady slowly blooming into a woman of very elegant features. Her short curly black child hair now was long and pooling, angling her angelic face with her etched but smooth high cheek bones. Bright green eyes softened the features even more, always seeming to glow with her black tresses.
As for her one quiet domineer, that had changed as well. She looked at him not as a father or brother, but as her hero. She loved him for what he did, but at times, had a hard time showing it. “I might say the same thing to you, leaving blood stains on your clothes when mixed with mine! If you want me to watch your clothes, you best learn to be more careful…I will not get anymore blood stains on my skirts!” She snarled as she slipped from the washroom, gather up the lace underwear from the floor, glancing down the hall and huffing lightly, closing the door firmly behind her.
