{. Jado .} It was spring at last. Cacti bloomed setting a field of pink and yellow flowers against the pale unforgiving desert. As well, grasses where perking up from the hard gravel. It was desolate yet not. Quick search showed nothing, but eyes perched upon the world's greatest predator, everything seemed alive in the desert. Small birds greedily stile from the flowers, not nectar but the buds and petals themselves, to birds these specific things were the juiciest things they have come across. Something somewhat far off in the distance from the feasting moved quickly, yet wearily.
• Piercing eyes searched among the vast scenery laid out before the brute. Breath carried his last kill, before he walked into these enchanted lands. Scent was saught out on the parameter at the very edge, it was somewhat old but he could immediately tell it was a she who ruled these lands, no male to overcome her or any other wolfen scents. Cautious pads stirred dust behind bulky carcass, seeking the one who claimed these lands to herself hopefully to be accepted into her pack. It was true Jado was finally going to join a pack, i guess you'd say the brute was lonely just sick of being alone. Almost all of his life he was forced to be alone, most packs wouldn't want such a wolf with a vibrant peltage, just for the fact of hunting, he'd be too easily spot. Then why has he lived so long? Good question, reason for that is the fact of his eyes, how they send chills down prey's back just catching eye contact. Like a deer in head lights, or a kid just got caught stealing cookies, he'd pounce and take victory over whatever he was hunting. But not all hunts were successful, unfortunately.
• As my eyes took in what was going on around me, pads the size of a humans paw stepped in all the right places, avoiding dozens of bugs ranging from ants to dead beetles. This was what i hated in the desert, all these bugs. So maybe i was a bit of a fruit, ha. I just hated bugs in general for the fact they are the most noisiest things ive come across, never mind i take that back birds in breeding season are mass crazy. I solemnly let my jaws crease open lolling tongue out to catch the breeze, as the day being scorching the night will freeze over easily. How indecisive it made the mind and body, one minute i need cool then the in a split second im yearning for a little bit of heat. Well right now at this moment in time cold would be just the perfect thing.

Gremlin ran swiftly across the sand, her tongue lolling out and bouncing up and down as she made her way across the dunes. She weaved quickly in and around the big twisted cacti and watched the birds fly from the bright flowers of the cactus' as she passed by. She smiled everytime, but at one point she decided to look back and she lost her footing. She fumbled slightly as she tried to regain her balance, but tumbled forward nonetheless. She slid down a dune and righted herself, making the rest of it more of a run.
After she made it to the bottom of the sand mountain, she began to slow down. About ten feet away from the spot she stopped at a small cactus that had been hollowed out by an owl and shook her raven colored fur of the sand. The blue tint glew fiercly in the sun and her purple and green eye seemed that much brighter. After a few moments of shaking out the sand she stopped and marked the cactus to let all of those that walked here now she ruled.
She sat soon after and surveyed the terrain with her beautiful bi-colored eyes. Nothing...nothing...nothing...she sniffed the air, and caught a scent off to her right. It was a male she could tell...probably another come to take her territory. She bristled at the thought and stood up, beginning to run in his general direction. She could see him in only a few minutes from his bright peltage and size, and she pressed forward.
Once she was within twenty five feet or so of him she began to slow down. She was at a walk when she was ten feet away from him, and she stopped there. "Who are you and what buisness do you have here?" she said, a slight anger outlining her melodic voice. She began looking him over after speaking, and was almost slightly intimidated; He didn't have many scars, he had the brightest eyes and pelt you could possibly ever see on a wolf, and he was actually a good foot bigger than her. She might be somewhat scared if she had much sense, but she figured he didn't want much. He looked to be a loner to her. What could he possibly want?

{. Jado .} • Mountains dotted the northern part of the desert ahead of the male, that's where the massive body was heading, hoping that it was true what he was taught back when he was shifting out of his pup hood. Logically, one side of a mountain can have desert and the other can be a lush forest, at least it depended on the height and elevation from the water level. Some wolves have died in a forest of barren land like this, only the strong minded survived a place like this. Noticing his horse breathes Jado slowly stopped and looked around him slowly, trying to detect where cracked surface was. Lucky him he had seemed to find himself where a old creek used to flow in the wet season, talons dug into the ground about a foot before coming upon what seemed like mud, "at last" Somewhat smiling with what he had found his muddy pads dug a little bit deeper before lowering to lap up mother earth's sodden tears.
• Catching a dark moving shape in his peripheral vision cane cocked sideways to give a better view of what was coming his way. Deep orbs stared the female down, not meaning to look upon her in a dark menacing way. What caught his attention the most was her eyes, he had never seen a wolf wolf tricolor eyes, let alone with such a contrasting tint to both. After spending much time on her eyes he made hast to switch to another target, one on the ground at her paws to show respect. At her words his bodice somewhat lowered tucking tail between legs and flattening ears safely to his crown respecting her authority. "My name is Jado, and my business is with you, my lady." His voice was soft and smooth making sure not to anger her, he had traveled through darker lands than these to get where he wanted to be, here. Softly nodding he straightened up from his submissive crouch he still held his crane lower than hers to note he knows whos boss. "Ive come intruding into your lands for the fact i wish to join these lands, and possibly be good use to you and the rest of the pack, that is my final bidding." Eyes looked once more into her different ones before turning them on to the floor at his hole to the side, it was still filled with shallow water sand sifting and falling to the bottom making it seem almost clear.

When Gremlin noticed him lowering n submission, a smile crept upon her face. She knew what she wanted before he had even asked. Now the question was, did she want this Jado to join her pack? She could easily welcome him, but just as easily she could turn him away. As the malevolent thought of turning him away came through her mind, her smile almost became bigger, but the thought passed quick enough.
"Well Jado, I'd take it kindly that you didn't call me 'my lady' or any other such term. My name is Gremlin." she said in her melodic voice, the original anger gone from her voice. She watched him straighten up, but keep his head lowered and this brought a meek satisfaction to her. "You may join this pack Jado. But you shall start as Kappa since we've no other members. You will rise in rank once I've begun to trust you and I've seen your skills." she said, her tone even and cool.
But for a moment her eyes glanced over to the hole he had dug that contained the sparse water of the desert. It seemed he knew how to survive in the barren wastelands. She smirked slightly and brought her attention back to Jado. "Come along then, I did see a small herd of deer pass by not long ago and I am rather hungry." she said, beginning to walk away and glancing behind her. She'd take him on a hunt to see how well he could hunt. If he was any good at anything he'd rise quickly through the ranks and perhaps end up as Beta one day...or perhaps higher? She smiled at the thought and continued to trot forward, keeping her mind on the deer.

{. Jado .} • Long chain length flowing from his haunches seemed to flick softly as if waiting for her words to grace his ears once more. Body tense and ready for perhaps a surprise attack or maybe to be rejected seem to loosen up watching her maw part into a sly smile. It made the brute feel better, maybe he was actually doing this right for once. What oddly worried him back into tensing up completely was her eyes seemed glassy, as if she was deep in thought and her ever so mid smile crept and grew even bigger. What did she mystically want with Jado? Surprised at her soft voice his body's tension fell once more away, hopefully for good this time, he didn't like to feel this way.
• Eyes searched her facial features as duo auds took in her words. So that's all she asks? Dear Jado mind your manners... Smirk laced upon my muzzle at that thought. I once more dipped my head respectfully "Well Gremlin, you can in return call me Jay if you thing my natural name is too long." At least i wouldn't think my name was long, my own mother did, sucks for naming me this way i guess. I listened closer to her words taking in all of what she was saying, as soon as she said i could join her lovely pack my tail swished slowly to and fro. What a good day it was, spending almost half a lifetime searching to belong in a pack, none would accept me which doesn't surprise me at all.
• He watched as she studied his hole, wondering if maybe she would laugh at him or perhaps take a drink herself. His mind pondered on one thing, could he impress her enough to trust him? Damn if only i could read her mind like my friend could. Jado softly smiled when she returned her eyes and attention back on him and her words caught him off guard. She wanted to see if he was a good hunter or not, this shouldn't be too hard, he too was starting to feel a little bit hungrier than before she said anything about deer. "I'd feel honored to hunt on the first day of acceptance." He waited as if debating if he should go or not, but when her motions stopped and her eyes turned on him his face seemed to get a little bit hot, as if he was blushing. Quickly coming right behind her his voice was hushed just in case the deer were anywhere closer than before. "I think we should go for a calf seeing as the deer have laden down to birth, and there is only two of us. So less scavengers will get their fill." Jado never liked birds who preyed on the already dead, it grossed him out, the way they would stalk and pester the shit out of him when he caught something.

Gremlin smiled slightly as he told her she could in return call him Jay if she felt his name was too long. That was rather silly seeing as it was only one more syllable to say. "I do think Jado will be fine." she said, a smile on her maw. Her smile softened when she noticed his tail swish back and forth when she said that he could join her in this pack. It almost reminded her of a pup. The thought brought another smile to her face, and she continued to trot forward.
She raised her nose to the wind for a moment and caught the musky scent of the deer, and continued to trot forward, looking behind her momentarily to catch Jado's words. She merely smiled and trotted on, swishing her duo toned tail back and forth. Her ears flicked back once again as he spoke of bringing down a calf since there were only them. "Well it seems as good an idea as any, but the birds will still come for their own fill of our lovely meal." she said, raising her head to the sky again and sniffing the air.
When she caught the scent of the deer she began to go faster, and once she was sure she was going in the right direction, she began to run, hoping that Jado would catch up with her. After a few moments the deer were in her sights and she slew down, crouching slightly to make herself less noticeable and looking through the herd...one, two, three, four calves...she looked each of them over and picked the medium sized one that was wandering at the outside of the herd, picking at the small grasses. She licked her chops and looked to Jado, checking to make sure he was ready.

{. Jado .} • Soft smile laced across his jowls at her response, what a foolish move to play...maybe he wasn't the only wolf who thought his name was already short as it was. Ah well, he was trying to be a nice little brute, if you can classify this hunk as little. So far Jado seemed to be pleasing the queen of his newly found pack lands, it felt good thinking he belonged to a pack, it was like saying his soul wasn't empty...like he actually had a meaning for life. He was hoping that possibly there would one day be more than just her and him, he liked seeing more pack members, even if that meant he would be a step under them it brought a great joy being apart of something that might possibly be big. Watching her expressions closely, i jerked my attention off of her and the future to dip my maw into the liquid that finally settled forming a clear pool of aqua at the top.
• Lapping at the pool the mud once stirred up again and Jado wasn't able to get a good clean drink before it started to taste rather stale. Pulling back to normal position his vibrant orbs fallowed Gremlin slowly as she took the lead, he almost hesitated fallowing behind her but he pressed on when she looked back once more. Slowly as think pad was ticking his thirst for blood seemed to dwell and increase over their time in the pit of his stomach. It wasn't but soon till he himself picked up on the scent she detected, many flight plans held in his crown sifting through each one thinking of the possibilities of scoring with each one. None the less, Jado settled for his favorite attack plan. As the ran his body seemed to shift a little more to the left of Gremlin, he was waiting to see what was in store and how many deer there would be out in the barren land. "Yes that is true, but giving them less to chew on wouldn't hurt, or would it?" A smirk caressed his whole body as if the thought didnt even hurt him one bit, the fact when he was just a pup his mother would tell of her stories of how wolves partnered up with varied colors and breeds of birds to become together. As one ruled the lands, the other took on the sky reporting status and finding possible food for both master and it's self.
• As Grem slowed down in front of him he himself, slowed down making sure not to create any noticeable dust flurries. He spoke almost unnoticeable behind her rump. "I'll flank them on the other side and herd them towards you, im sure they wouldn't try to out think us my lady." Before his words died out he was already slowly backing up, not waiting for her fallowing words. Almost resembling a lioness on perhaps her last hunt he body lay low to the ground hair almost brushing with the sand, all that moved were fast appendages. His whole carcass stayed at level with the horizon taking him around slowly to the other side, a good thing about the desert was how the sand was it's self somewhat orange and he contemptuous blended in softly. Rending softly to the right his body hid behind a little mound of dirt, all that was visible was deep teal azures against the backdrop of orange and against deep blue skies, what a perfect way to hide. He was ready for the herd to move closer and change positions to face sideways, give a better chance of them turning in the right direction.
