Old Lvaire Dynasty Post. Not my best, but its all I have saved. XP
~Aurora~Sparkling crystal droplets fell sorrowfully from the faes orbs as they gazed, confused and pained, into the depths of the icy flow. Aurora, once again found herself draped across the deadened log that that interfered with the torrent. Cerulean occuli were enchanted by the swirling and dancing current. This had always been her thinking spot. Mind found itself to be torn between two, rather unproductive tasks: Thinking over what had transpired, or counting the ice chunks drifting by? With spring arriving, the large ice slabs that had banked the river were chipping away. She counted, transfixed, as they floated past. one...two, three...four five six...seven... But she could never get far without returning to the sinking feeling she had created for herself. Her mind would always switch back to the topic she attempted so desperately to avoid: What of Seth and Tourette? The deluge of tears would begin again, every time the thought occurred. Oh Seth... Had he been angry? Hurt? Distraught? ...Never had she thought herself capable of such cruel treachery, yet here she lay, the embodiment of disloyalty and evil. Once such an honorable, pure being, she would be forever marred by the scarlet letter smoldering miserably in the essence of her form. But no... She couldn't be forever scorned for aspiring to happiness! Their relationship had been superficial from the start, though Seth had been the one to catch her after the longest and hardest fall she had ever endured. After the loss of her pack, the arctic queen had thought perhaps the king of the new lands could rescue her, and after pouring out her soul to him, he had begun to, lifting her higher before throwing her back to the cruel clutches of fate. Jaide, the shadowy espion, and Seth, the eager pup, had been her most beloved friends at the time (though they didn't particularly get along with the other), and finding her biological clock ticking, she surrendered to the pups crush and took him as a mate. Perhaps that was my first mistake...He was just too young... Though she still prayed she was wrong. Sighing heavily, she continued with her anilitical musings. Sure he had always been there for her, but it had always felt a bit strained. How often had they had to reassure each other of their unending love No... the signs had always been there. It seemed like they were intended to be "just friends" from the start. But then, where did that leave Tourette?
He was practically a stranger! The princess didn't know him well at all. He is sweet though... she reminded herself with a weak grin that disappeared as quickly as it had come. What am I to do? No one will want to see my miserable face again. More delicate tears fell into the wild stream. Suddenly a loud "Crack!" caught her attention, dome darting up instantly, but it was dismissed as she realized it was just more ice breaking. Dome rested upon her folded towers once again as she returned to her musings. Oh Seth... I'm so sorry- her thoughts were cut short, however, as the the bough below her quaked, seisms racking her frame. A large mass, no doubt the broken ice, collided with the fallen tree, snapping the branches that held it suspended above the waters surface, and they plummeted into the icy depths, fear fogging the espion's mind. As her delicate form disappeared beneath its rippled facia, darkness swirled though her mind, engulfing her thoughts. The frigged flow stung her body, but soon her mind relaxed, finding the occurrence almost amusing. No more than I deserve... she thought mournfully before surrendering to the massive entity that pressed on her from all sides. Frame going limp, towers halted, and figure drifted away with the torrent, mind falling into blackness. She wasn't sure if she would ever awaken again, but what did it matter... Part of her died a long time ago anyways.
